Fire Breaks Out on Two Boats in Hussain Sagar, One Missing
A fire broke out on two boats in Hussain Sagar during an event, leaving one missing and 15 others unharmed. Search efforts are ongoing for the missing person.

A major fire erupted on two boats in Hussain Sagar on Sunday night, causing significant damage to both vessels. The incident occurred during the ‘Bharat Mata Maha Aarti’ event at People’s Plaza, located along Necklace Road, when firecrackers were reportedly the cause of the blaze.
At the time of the fire, 15 individuals were aboard the boats. Fortunately, all managed to escape without injury, but the fire quickly spread from one boat to the other, resulting in extensive damage to both.
The police were alerted early on Monday morning about a missing person, Ajay, a young man from Nagaram. His family reported that he had not been seen since the fire, prompting an immediate search operation. The family contacted local police, who launched a coordinated search effort at the lake with two rescue teams. More teams could be deployed if necessary.
Ajay’s friends, who were with him on the boats during the incident, have confirmed they are safe. As of now, rescue operations are ongoing, with efforts focused on locating Ajay. Police and civic authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely.
